Baby Wood's First Picture!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and the doctor did a quick ultrasound to find the baby's heartbeat. It was really neat to see the baby and hear it's heartbeat. I'll be going back on Friday for an ultrasound so the doctor can measure the baby to see how far along it is.

For those of you who are as unfamiliar with ultrasounds as I am, look in the black circle near the top left corner. There's a little white thing in that black circle, which is the baby. You can click on the picture to make it bigger, too.

Oh, and in one other bit of minor news...

Obviously this really isn't all that exciting or important to us since we didn't blog about it immediately, but...

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!

Surprise!

Katie and I will be welcoming our our first child in early February 2008.

Thunderstruck, speechless, befuddled, you name it. This wasn't the plan, but we're starting to get excited about it.

Doctors visits, things to buy, money to save, it's been crazy. Hence no blog posts. Expect that to change as we continue through the next 9 months and beyond :)
