Super Soccer Saturday

We drove down to spend Saturday afternoon at Nate and Luke's soccer games. Both of them did really well and we had a lot of fun. After Luke's game we played some soccer of our own, had some yummy Peruvian food (we highly recommend it, but we wouldn't have known what to order without Denise and Derek's guidance), shopped for Halloween costume supplies, and hung out at the Baker's. Thanks for such a great day!

Ryan, the goalie.

Denise had to take over as goalie because Ryan got scared.

Luke taking on his mom.

Apparently Ryan was trying to get some "candid" shots of me playing, but this was the best he was able to do.

And of course this wouldn't be as exciting without pictures of Carter, since that's who everyone really wants to see!

Labor Day

It was sooo hot on Labor Day that we decided to get in the pool. We weren't sure how Carter would do since he didn't even like it when his feet got wet at the beach, but we decided to go ahead and give it a shot. He did much better than we expected and it seemed like we were colder than he was. Our pool adventure didn't last long because we were turning blue, but it was fun while it lasted.

Happy with Daddy

Carter's not sure what Daddy's going to do. Carter's hair is wet because we were helping him float on his back...he did not like that at all!

Glad to be warm and dry

Carter's New Tricks

Our little boy is growing up so fast and is quickly learning new things. The other day I was sitting with Carter and I would tell him to shake my hand, so he would reach out his hand and take mine. It was the cutest thing! Here's a video of Carter showing off his new trick:

Carter has been moving all over the place lately. He hasn't quite figured out how to really crawl, but he gets where he wants to go. For some reason he really likes remotes, as you can see below:
